Northrend, the home of The Lich King. We have been adventuring in these cold harsh lands, battling unfamiliar monsters, discovering secrets of Azeroth’s past, and proving ourselves as champions for over a year. Throughout this time we were being watched. On his Frozen Throne, he has sat, waiting for the day we march upon the dark fortress within the icy walls of his home. This day has come. We must now journey into a place where only evil dwells. The gates will fall, but he will be waiting. Finally, the time has come for us to venture into Icecrown Citadel, battle the armies of Scourge, and defeat The Lich King.

Patch 3.3 is here!!! Icecrown is open to the public and Ambition will be starting the 10 man the first week of release. Please take advantage of the many changes in this patch. Along with the addition of 3 new 5man instances (The Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, and Halls of Reflection), please use the Emblems of Frost and Emblems of Triumph to gear up your characters. Blizzard is pretty much giving us a full set of Tier 9. Please check out the Icecrown section of the forums for information on the new raid and heroics!!!

Today has been a very rewarding day for Ambition's own Tyraxus. While most of us have been running around Dun Morough on rams and battling Corin Direbrew, Tyr put on his Brewfest Regalia, Boots, and Hat and ported to Dalaran to bust a move. This gave him the "Disturbing The Peace" Achievement. He then went back to Dun Morough and signed up for "Brew of the Month". Then as soon as that was complete...que achievement sound...Tyraxus earned 50 achievement points by getting "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been"!!!

If your not familiar with this mega-achievement, it requires you to complete ALL the following holiday achievements...
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Merrymaker
To Honor One's Elders
Fool For Love
Nobel Gandener
For The Children
The Flame Warden
Brewmaster

Once Tyr earned this lengthy achievement, he received a letter in the mail which read...

Included in this letter were the [Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake]

(shown above), which is also a 310% flying mount. Probably one of the more rare mounts in the game. The earliest anyone could have reached this mega-achievement was September 20, 2009.

So during your travels across Azeroth, when you log on, if you run an instance with him, if you happen to see him flying on his big purple dragon, be sure to congratulate him. We salute you for completing "What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been" and hope it's been a good one! Grats Tyraxus!!!
